Where: Clemson University

When: February 1 (9am to 6 pm) and February 2 (8 am  to 3 pm). 

Why Attend: USSF National Referee Coaches (Former FIFA and 2015 Women's World Cup Referee Margaret Domka, and Dr. Skye Arthur-Banning) providing advanced materials from 2020 National Camp and the 2019 season clips to referees, instructors and assessors so a) we are all on the same page, b) we can continue to understand the modern game, c) To assess who to provide assignments for the 2020 season to. In addition, the FIFA fitness test will be completed to meet the re-certification requirements for the 2020 season and anticipated PRO requirements for USL Championship, USL1, USL2, etc. 

Clinic Cost: $35 
- Payment will be taken at the Clinic

Clinic costs will cover Breakfast on Sunday morning and both lunches (Saturday and Sunday).
Clinic costs WILL NOT cover certification fees but do count as the certification class in SC.   

Most state SRA's are accepting this clinic as certification's hours. We can work with you and your state to count the training. 

Fitness Testing:

8:30

PRO fitness test for referees wishing to do USL games and higher will be offered at 8:30 if enough interest is there. (Referee test of 15/18 or AR test of 15/20) as per PRO guidelines. 

9:00

Regional (state) Fitness test: 

1-      RSA (Repeated Sprint Ability) – 6 X 40 meter sprints 6.40 maximum time. They are given another attempt (1) if a referee falls, trips or fails one of the sprints.

2-      Interval Test- 40 X 75 meters / 25-meter walk (4000 meters / 10 laps) 17 seconds per 75 meter run and 20 seconds per 25-meter walk

9:30

Grassroots (7, 8) Fitness Test:

1-      RSA (Repeated Sprint Ability) – 6 X 40 meter sprints 6.60 maximum time. They are given another attempt (1) if a referee falls, trips or fails one of the sprints.

2-      Interval Test- 40 X 75 meters / 25-meter walk (4000 meters / 10 laps) 17 seconds per 75 meter run and 24 seconds per 25-meter walk

NOTE: You will only be permitted to take the test once. If you choose the PRO fitness test option and fail, a makeup test will not be offered at this clinic.

Saturday

8:30 – PRO Fitness Test

9:00 - Regional Fitness Test

9:30 – Grassroots Fitness Test

11:00 - Welcome and discussion about our state/region (referees, assessors and instructors)

11:30 - New IFAB Changes

12:30 - lunch

1:15 - New IFAB Changes

2:45 - PRO Development Track Panel

3:15 – Break

3:30 – FIFA Video Test # 1

5:30 - Discuss practical on field exercises for the morning

6:00 adjourn for dinner

Sunday 

8:00 - Instructors help lead On Field Exercises and immediate feedback from assessors to referees

9:30 - Classroom De-Brief/Discussion of on field activities

10:00 – Virtual Reality demo 

10:30 - FIFA Video Test # 2 and Discussion (Instructors to each take one clip)

Noon - Lunch

1:00 – The New US Soccer requirements AND assigning

1:30 – Clip Analysis            

3:00 Adjourn
