- NO WE DO NOT - As referees we only judge the action. If a defender trips an attacker then we call a foul. We don’t judge intent.

What types of Misconduct (Cards) are there for players?

Caution / Yellow Card Offenses

  1. Delaying the restart of play

  2. Dissent by word or action 

  3. Entering or Reentering the field or leaving the field without the Referees permission 

  4. Failure to respect the distance when play is restarted 

  5. Persistent offenses 

  6. Unsporting Behavior***

  7. Entering The Referee Review Area

  8. Excessively using the Review signal

Send Off / Red Card Offenses

  1. Denying the opposing team a goal or obvious goal scoring opportunity by a handball offense 

  2. Denying the opposing team a goal or obvious goal scoring opportunity by a foul 

  3. Serious Foul Play

  4. Biting or spitting at someone 

  5. Violent Conduct 

  6. Using Offensive, insulting or abusive language or actions
