NCYSA State Cup Series - ALL DATES LISTED

  • Charlotte Referee Org Charlotte United States (map)

You are cordially invited to referee at this year’s NCYSA Spring Girls’ State Cup. This is a priority tournament and assignment selection preference is given to those referees who are on the NCSRA State Cup list. However, all 2021 licensed referees may apply and usually there are available opportunities for more referees than those from the State Cup list who may apply.

If you wish to referee on any of the Cup dates listed below use the codes listed here and enter them in the Arbiter Custom Fields labeled for each State Cup date. You must select a site from each drop down list for each weekend at which you wish to referee on a particular weekend by using the appropriate code and site. You may be assigned to another site on the selected weekend depending on the needs of the tournament.

As usual, the NCYSA State Cups provide Classic 2021 rate pay, housing two per room at a hotel to referees traveling 50 miles or greater one way, lunch at the fields, fruit & water, and a $10 Saturday dinner stipend.

Hotel information and field locations will be posted on the State Cup Referee Info page which can be accessed from the State Cup tab of the NCSRA Arbiter Central Hub and also from the event listings on the event calendar for each tournament.

Payment for all games will be made via ArbiterPay so make sure you have an up to date ArbiterPay account.

The tournament is being held in Asheville, Charlotte, Greenville, Statesville, Goldsboro, Wilson and Fayetteville. The various age groups playing at each site can be found on the NCYSA State Cup page which can be accessed from this link:

Place the code for each tournament you wish to work in the appropriate field for that tournament date and site in your Arbiter Record on the custom fields page. You must choose a selection from the drop down list so you can only put in one code.

HOUSING. For any of the tournaments for which you need housing you must select the site code with an H at the end of the code, i.e. SCW21BH. If you have a housing request other than to be housed Friday & Saturday night, or if you have any special rooming requests or other requests, you must complete the special request form the link for which is found under the State Cup tab on the central hub on the state cup housing and site page. You need to complete this form for each tournament site for which you are making a request.

Anyone who needs housing is welcome to it but this privilege has been abused in the past. If you request housing, WE EXPECT YOU TO SHOW UP AND USE IT. If you request housing for Friday night or Saturday night and then do not use it, if NCYSA incurs a room cost your share will be deducted from your check. (I will be sending out reminders throughout the tournament so please stay up to date). If you plan on attending any of the tournaments with a non-referee roommate, we will accommodate such requests as much as possible but half the room cost will be charged to you and we must have these requests at least 10 days ahead so plan early please.

To register to referee at the Tournament listed in this invitation you need to sign up through your record in the USSF North Carolina Arbiter Site. This site is at www.ArbiterSports.com.

I will begin assigning matches continuously through February 2021 so please try to have signed up as early as possible so you can be appropriately assigned. Initial assignments will be released as hold dates which should be accepted when released. YOU MUST BE CERTIFIED FOR 2021 TO RECEIVE ASSIGNMENTS.

Sign Up through the Arbiter site will not CLOSE but the later you sign up the less likely utilization will be. You will know that you have been assigned games when they appear on your Arbiter schedule, which will hopefully be at least 1 week prior to the tournament weekend(s) to which you are being assigned. Likely we will utilize a hold date game assignment which when accepted will insure you are only assigned to the tournament and not to local games.

If you are for some reason unfamiliar with how to use this arbiter site there is a PowerPoint tutorial presentation available on-line at www.ncsra.org under the Arbiter Assignment Portal.

This tournament will be following the NCSRA Standard Tournament Protocols & Procedures unless otherwise indicated. This document can be found on Arbiter under forms from your start page or you can access it directly through this link. http://www.ncsoccer.org/State%20Cups/ref_protocols.shtml

Only the exact codes listed here, placed in the correct tournament field, will allow you to be assigned to any of these tournaments.

If you are presently under 18 and you are requesting housing then you must be accompanied by and room with (or under the supervision of) a parent, guardian, or other adult who is assuming responsibility for you.

Before signing out of the Arbiter after signing up for this tournament, make sure that your arbiter calendar is completely open for the days of the tournament unless you have limited availability. If you are not completely available you need to enter partial or complete blocks on your calendar for those dates and times you are not available.
